Supply Ontario is seeking a hands-on Manager, Data Analytics to lead a team of data analysts, data scientists, and BI developers. This role combines technical expertise with leadership skills to drive data-driven decision-making and implement AI solutions in alignment with Supply Ontario’s strategic goals.
Reporting to the Director, Data Strategy and Analytics, you will be key in driving innovation and leveraging data to make impactful decisions and enhance operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the delivery of the analytics function, ensuring alignment with overall data strategy and performance standards.
- Implementing AI and data science strategies, frameworks, and governance to support decision-making and organizational priorities.
- Overseeing the development and implementation of advanced analytics, machine learning models, and data management standards.
- Driving the adoption of emerging technologies to streamline data management, reduce risks, and improve business outcomes.
- Providing technical leadership in Databricks, Power BI, and other tools, ensuring high-quality standards through code reviews and mentorship.
- Collaborating with the Director or Chief to establish and execute a multi-year AI and data strategy, roadmap, and operational plans.
- Leading, mentoring, and coaching a diverse team, fostering a high-performance, service-oriented culture.
- Supporting recruitment, performance reviews, and employee development to build a strong, capable team.
- Managing resources effectively, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements and corporate processes.
- Promoting innovation, continuous improvement, and a collaborative work culture within the unit.
- Collaborating with Data Governance and Engineering teams to enhance data quality, integrity, and compliance.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience working with analytics and information management programs.
- At least 2 years of experience leading data science and analytics teams.
- Strong hands-on expertise in AI, machine learning, and data science techniques.
- Proficient in tools such as Databricks, Power BI, Python, PySQL, and PySpark.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and Generative AI technologies.
- Experience managing projects using Agile and Kanban methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Supply Ontario offers a competitive compensation package including benefits and defined benefit pension plan.

This job offers the opportunity to work from home as part of a hybrid work arrangement; at the time of posting, this position would require in-office presence 3 days per week, based on current operational requirements.
