The SVP Category Management is accountable for the strategic direction and priorities and provides overall leadership to the development of the category management strategy. The SVP will ensure alignment with, and support of the overall Supply Ontario strategic direction, financial objectives, and customer expectations. This Category Management executive will provide strategic leadership and accountability for the planning, development and implementation of short, medium, and long-term sourcing strategies and frameworks and the provision of robust and strategic category management programs that are efficient and economical, and ensure optimal management of vendor sourcing and vendor contract life cycles.
The ideal candidate brings in-depth knowledge in strategic sourcing, category management, negotiations, contracting, supply market intelligence, supplier relationship management and performance management. Demonstrated leadership competencies including the ability to effectively focus resources to implement category management strategies, and drive innovation and change.
You bring, at minimum, 10 years’ experience in progressively responsible management or leadership positions across multiple functions and/or previous executive leadership experience with specific experience within a complex purchasing and category/supplier management operation and partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
