Supply Ontario and CAN Health Network establish agreement to drive the procurement of innovative technologies in Ontario’s health sector

September 25, 2025 (Toronto, ON) — Building on the launch of Ontario’s new Health Innovation Pathway, Supply Ontario is strengthening its partnership with the CAN Health Network to transform the innovation and procurement landscape in Ontario. The partnership aims to ensure that high-quality, ready-to-procure innovations identified through the pathway are available to Ontario’s healthcare and public sector clients. This collaboration will streamline the process for identifying and procuring cutting-edge, value-generating solutions, benefiting both patients and providers and supporting innovators in Ontario and Canada.

Launched in 2019, the CAN Health Network unites health care organizations from coast-to-coast to identify real-world challenges and match them with solutions developed by Canadian companies. The CAN Health Network aims to support homegrown innovation, strengthen Canada’s economy, and improve the delivery of health care for all Canadians.

Together through Ontario’s Health Innovation Pathway, Supply Ontario and the CAN Health Network will:

  • Enhance access to innovative Canadian healthcare solutions to better meet the evolving needs of healthcare providers and patients.
  • Strengthen relationships with Ontario’s healthcare organizations.
  • Increase capacity to drive economic development and domestic supply chain resiliency through the procurement of innovative technologies in Ontario.

This partnership with the CAN Health Network aligns with Supply Ontario’s mandate from government to centralize and modernize procurement to create a more resilient, responsive, and self-sustaining supply chain to improve the delivery of health care for all Ontarians.

“Ontario is open for business and leading the way in innovation. By connecting homegrown technologies with the needs of our public sector, we’re delivering real results for the people of Ontario. Our approach to procurement isn’t just about buying what we need—it’s about supporting Ontario jobs, strengthening our industries, and making life better for families across the province. That’s how we build a stronger, more competitive Ontario.”

—Stephen Crawford, Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement

“This partnership with CAN Health is an exciting opportunity to amplify ready-to-procure Ontario- and Canadian-made innovations in the public sector, while fostering engagement with the market to address unmet needs. Working together, and through the recently launched Health Innovation Pathway, we can better support health care organizations, champion Canadian innovation, and ensure public dollars go further in delivering value and improving care.”

—Jamie Wallace, CEO, Supply Ontario

“We’re thrilled to be working with Supply Ontario. Their leadership in procurement, combined with our innovation platform, will help create more opportunities for Canadian companies and deliver better healthcare solutions to Canadians.”
