Supply Ontario (SO) is a provincial agency with an ambitious mandate to transform and modernize the province’s public sector supply chain management system. The Agency aims to build world-class capability that harnesses Ontario’s buying power to enable economic development, province-wide resilience, and value for Ontarians. As the transformation face for government and the broader public sector (BPS), Supply Ontario will work across the system to build an integrated, efficient, and strategic supply chain that benefits our economy, businesses, customers, and Ontarians.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is accountable for the strategic direction and priorities for the planning, development and management of the diverse financial services needs across the organization, including but not limited to, finance, controllership, budgeting, accounting infrastructure, risk management facilities management, compliance, audit, corporate financial reporting, freedom of information compliance as well as the planning, development and management of related frameworks, programs, policies and services for Supply Ontario.
As an ideal candidate, the CFO will possess a proven track record of strategic financial management, and have the ability to navigate complex financial landscapes with confidence and precision. An understanding of how government processes operate will be instrumental in navigating the unique challenges and opportunities within the public sector. As a key member of the executive team, the CFO will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure financial decisions align with Supply Ontario’s overall business objectives.
You bring a minimum 12 years’ financial experience, as well as 5 years in a leadership role providing direction and oversight of a finance department with expertise in financial planning, control and risk management, and the provision of a range of financial expertise and services for a large organization. A professional accounting designation or equivalent experience or education are required.
