Director, Total Rewards & Talent Acquisition

Reporting to the Chief Talent/Human Resources Officer, the Director, Total Rewards & Talent Acquisition will be accountable for providing leadership in the delivery of Total Rewards, HRIS and Talent Acquisition services section programs, services, and initiatives in support of overall Department strategies. The Director will lead the teams responsible for the delivery of talent acquisition, employee & executive compensation, benefits, and pension plan, ensuring market competitiveness and alignment with the HR strategy in order to effectively attract, motivate, engage and retain high-performing talent. 

The ideal candidate is a seasoned and strategic HR leader with 10+ years of progressive HR experience. You bring expertise in talent acquisition and management, total rewards, payroll, workforce planning including the development of all related systems, processes, policies and best practices within a unionized environment. With an ability to build effective and influential relationship with key stakeholders, you manage and champion change for a new organizational culture and vision. Public sector experience is a definite asset.

Knowledge of HR management principal, practices, policies, legislations, and regulations particularly in the areas of recruitment, total compensation, HRIS and HR service delivery is necessary. Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation would be helpful.
